Dr. Alvin J. “United Way of Southwest Alabama provides solutions for high-need individuals and families in our community and has a tremendous positive impact on the entire region,” said Williams. “The Ƶ family has been a strong contributor to this campaign for many years, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to give back in this way.”
Since 1998, the University and ƵHealth have raised more than $5.7 million for the United Way of Southwest Alabama through its annual campaign.
Jill Chenoweth, president of United Way of Southwest Alabama, emphasized the importance of the USA-UWSWA partnership. “Donations from the Ƶemployee campaign have benefits that ripple out to the community as a whole, helping others and strengthening the community,” Chenoweth said. “For every dollar donated, United Way is able to provide $11 worth of programs and services to the community.”
